Associate/Lead Associate, Private Equity Manager Research - Investment

We currently have an opening for an Associate or Lead Associate level position in the private equity team based in US who will work on North America based primary fund investments, and co-investments. As part of our global private equity team, you will assist in sourcing, analyzing and executing private equity investments, help determine where we invest, produce intellectual capital and market views and support client work.
In this role you will gain exposure to the most highly respected private equity managers in the world, forming opinions on their skill and ability to consistently generate outperformance. You will also underwrite co-investments.
As an important member of our team, you will be expected to develop and work in close collaboration with your colleagues globally, grow our intellectual know-how, become a subject-matter expert and remain heavily engaged in financial market developments.
The role will be a hybrid role based in Chicago, IL, or New York, NY.

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $80,000 to $105,000 USD per year.
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.

The Role
- Source, analyze, and execute private equity primary funds, secondary opportunities, and co-investments
- Run and maintain financial models and tools
- Produce investment memorandums and contribute to investment committee discussions
- Research market opportunities using a variety of financial databases and produce periodic reports that support the team’s pipeline evaluation
- Contribute to the development of the research function, improving methods and tools used
- Assist in development and presentation of research findings both internally and externally
The Requirements
- One to four years of private equity fund or co-investment experience, either as an asset manager, endowment, foundation, consultant, or data provider. Other experience within private equity will also be considered.
- Self-starter who can balance a varied workload and dynamic role
- Advanced financial analysis and modelling skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Moderate traveling required
