The individual in this role will work as a leader of several client teams developing business with clients on a wide variety of engagements covering topics such as financial modeling, financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory issues, litigation, reinsurance, pricing, and product development. Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
Compensation
The base salary being offered for this role is $300,000. USD -$450,000. USD. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.

The Role
- Generate new business where client relationships already exist and expand into new clients
- Lead large and complex projects being responsible for client satisfaction
- Manage and direct more junior colleagues that perform analysis and develop tools, ensuring a high quality work product has been prepared and will be delivered the client
- Share knowledge and experience with other colleagues
- Mentor junior colleagues
- Work collaboratively with others on a project team
- Review peer work product as a quality control measure
- Lead client correspondence in both written and verbal format
- Lead meetings and interactions with clients, managing expectations and raise appropriate issues to Client Relationship Managers
- Lead elements of intellectual capital that leads to our service offerings such as Predictive Analytics, Financial Modeling, Experience Analysis, Regulation Changes among others
- Complete CE requirements to maintain SOA credentials
The Requirements
- At least 15 years of experience in an actuarial role at a life insurance company, consulting firm, or financial services organization
- Candidate with strong management of people and profit centers preferred
- Strong expertise in at least one specific life insurance and/or annuity product line
- Expertise in at least one of the following functional areas as applied to the life insurance industry: predictive analytics / data science, experience studies, financial reporting, financial modeling, mergers & acquisitions, and product development / pricing.
- Motivated, independent learner willing to share their knowledge with others
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a local team and coordinate teams across multiple offices
- Ability to direct work involving technical issues and requiring problem solving skills
- Ability to effectively assist junior colleagues
- Ability to explain the big picture as to why an assignment needs to be performed, how it fits in to the final objective and ensure that tasks performed are directly linked to client objectives
- Ability to balance supporting and leading multiple projects with multiple clients, including timely communication of project and deliverable status
- Flexibility to put in extra effort to meet client deadlines when necessary
- Strong oral and written communication skills to explain findings, work product, findings, and recommendations to junior colleagues, peers, and clients
- FSA preferred
- Prior client-facing, consulting experience preferred
